Meet Macie

The namesake of Macie’s Mission!

She loves “Frozen”, gymnastics, doing arts and crafts, and just being an active spunky little girl!

Macie was born in 2019 to her parents Jeff and Caitlin Harris. Macie has an older brother Luke who is five years older than her.

After Macie’s newborn screening, she was diagnosed with Pompe disease. She’s been living with the disease and it currently is being managed thanks to Dr. Kishnani’s work.

About Macie’s Mission

Macie’s Mission is run by Macie’s family and friends with the hope that, one day, Macie and Luke will continue this important work.

Macie’s Mission proudly supports Dr. Priya Kishnani and her Pompe research at Duke Children’s Hospital, as well as individuals and their families navigating the challenges of Pompe disease.
